Dr. Dattatraya Kalbande (https://kalbanded.wixsite.com/dattatraya) is presently Librarian, Sadhubella Education Society’s J. Watumull Sadhubella Girls College, Ulhasnagar (Mumbai) Maharashtra, India. This college is permanent affiliated to University of Mumbai. His past assignments includes; INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar, Central Reference Library, Kolkata, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Mahatma Phule Agricultural University, Rahuri (Maharashtra), Bharati University, Mumbai, Yashwantrao Chavan Open University of Maharashtra (YCMOU), Nashik study centre, Vivekanand College, Aurangabad and Joshi Bedekar College, Mumbai.
Honours & Awards:1. Best Librarian Award for the year 2018 instituted by Hyderabad Karnataka Librarians’ Association for exemplary services in the field of library and information science considering his excellent academics, contribution to the modernization of library and services to the user community.
2. ICSSR Doctoral Research Fellowship for the academic year 2014-15.
As a Librarian, he's interested in progressive and innovative academic library setup that embrace new technologies, promote high academic standards while retaining a deep appreciation for high-quality literature. He's skilled in building the library as a community learning commons, pro-actively communication with students, teachers and parents to raise the profile of the library.
Dr Kalbande is the member of various committees i.e Co-coordinator of IQAC, Secretary of Library Advisory Committee, Member of College Development Committee, Member of Expert Committee for CAS, Member of Selection Committee, Member of MRP evaluation committee and Editorial Member of 10 International Journals of Library & Information Science.
Publications:- On his credit have 8 books to beside about 80 research papers published in International & National Journals & Conferences.
